Onboarding new users

New users are missing the core feature. Multiple people checked out the site and didn't realize they could vote "Exciting" or "Concerning" on each story. They thought it was just another news aggregator.

Implement sponsored articles

Allow brands to publish full-length articles directly in the AIApplePie news feed. Each sponsored article gets its own permalink, appears inline with organic content, and is clearly labeled with a Sponsored tag. Clicking opens the full article in the reading panel — no redirect to an external site.

Add keyboard shortcuts

Navigate AIApplePie without touching the mouse. Use arrow keys to move between articles, hotkeys to filter by category, and shortcuts to open, dismiss, or share stories — keeping power users in flow.

Show disabled vote buttons to logged-out visitors so they know the feature exists, paired with a fully functional share button — encouraging sign-ups while keeping sharing open to everyone.
